Hola Familia!!
You’re probably wondering why the heck you’re getting an email from me on Saturday. Today we have a p-day thing because we have to do our laundry and pack for Monday. So while waiting for my laundry to get done I thought why not send you a quick note. You guys sounded like you’re having the time of your life in Sun Valley and then Portland. I wish I was with you guys but I am out here doing the Lord’s work, and I couldn't be more grateful to do it. But the one thing I wish I could have seen was John Mayer jamming out on stage. But the t-shirt will do when I get home. This week nothing too special happened. I have been mostly getting ready to leave on Monday. I have been getting some stuff in the book store and we had this long meeting on Thursday. Thursday we had the in-field orientation thing. It was the longest thing I have ever attended. We had to show up at 8 and we were there til 5:30. It was so long. I was really tried at the end of it. It probably was the longest meeting of my life. But it was all good info to learn. The worst thing about it was probably the play they did at the end of it. It took me back to Camp Hunt and the Scout head people trying to be funny, but they just couldn't. I will tell you more about it on Monday. I got to host Jake VanB this week. That was a treat, and I loved it. I saw his car pull in, and I just walked with it until it stopped. And he jumped out and gave me a hug. I missed him so much. It was awesome. I have been seeing him a lot lately, and that’s way nice. Every night I try to go to his residence to see how he is doing but the past two nights I haven't been able to. I am going to try and sent a pic of me and him - hopefully it will send. We will talk more on Monday, and I hope it’s not crowed at the airport and I can get a phone. I miss you guys tons and can't wait to hear you voices. Have an awesome rest of the trip! Love you tons!
Con mucho amor,
-Elder Smith
