Hey Guys!
This week was a good week.  It seemed long because our P-day was on a Monday last week, but it was fun and an adventure like usual.  A lot happened this week, and these two awesome miracles happened to us this week.  They were stunning to me.  We also had some interesting Chappy adventures as well.  It was a fun week.  Also, thanks for the B-day wishes.  I appreciated it!  I miss you guys tons.  It’s going to be weird not to have you guys around Friday, but it’s all good.  I will be thinking about you guys, that’s for sure.  Thanks for everything you guys do for me.
Our investigators are doing pretty well.  Hector and Denise are studs, and it’s awesome to see them progress.  They showed up Wednesday for activities, and they loved it.  We toured them around the building, and they said they would make it Sunday.  When we showed them the font Hector kind of teared up, and it was cool.  They didn't show up on Sunday so that was a bummer.  The whole day we were trying to figure out why they didn't come.  We showed up Sunday night and they were super happy to see us, like usual.  Denise was trying to make food and everything for the kids.  Hector kept telling us Denise has this question for us, and I was fearing the worst.  She sat down and just told us, without waiting, she wanted to be baptized.  It was sweet!  We taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ, and they enjoyed it.  But we got side-tracked a lot because they had all these questions about baptism, and it was nuts.  We set a date for the 21st of June, and I am hoping and praying that they will make it.  They didn't really tell us why they didn't come, but I am sure it wasn't the best excuse.  But, hey, we now have two baptism dates, and they are prepared.  I think they will make it.  They also gave us juice to take home and everything.  I love them a lot.  That was one of our first miracles of the week, and it was a blessing from God.  The other was with a less-active Family, the Morales.  They have been less-active for like a year, and he is still the Elder's quorum president yet he is less-active.  The ward has been trying to get them back for a year, and nothing has been working.  They kind of lost hope, and it’s been hard to get them back.  We have been visiting them here and there but nothing came from it.  During the week, we had a choice of a couple people to see.  I was thinking about seeing this one guy, David, but just thought he could wait.  We felt like we should go the Hernandez and Morales route.  The Hernandez are another less-active family.  They weren't home, so we took off to the Morales, and they were home.  We knocked, and they opened.  Right away they started talking about how just before we knocked they were taking about how we have been telling them they had to come to church, and how we would be sitting in our usual couch telling them they had to come back, and then we knocked.  She was stunned about how the Holy Ghost works and told us we had to come over.  They took it as a sign they had to come back to church, and they showed up Sunday.  It was the coolest thing ever and a miracle.  It was crazy.  She even talked to the Presidente about them coming back and everything.  The ward was happy to have them back, and it was an amazing miracle God preformed for us.  I am very grateful that I was a part of it.  Those were the two amazing miracles that happened to us.  Also this week we went over to Joey's to help him in the yard.  He needed to burn this pile he had in the backyard.  It was full of weeds, a door, and a pretty big support beam.  He asked if we could help him burn it, and we said yes because we didn't want anything to go wrong.  He can’t really walk, and his girlfriend is lazy.  So we lit it on fire, and it started going.  He told us to go get the hose, and when we came around the trailer all we could see was this huge fireball.  The flames were like 15 feet high.  We got it under control and made sure everything was alright.  We got it out, and right as we did a sheriff came rolling in the circle patrolling.  We got in the car and took off once he left and, ya, we decided not to burn anything anymore.  It was funny but scary.  We also tried to contact a drunk man last night.  When I asked him if we could give him our number, he was like, "I don't need your number - I got God's number!!"  It was funny, but I somehow got him to take our card.  But that was my week in a nutshell for you guys.
Thanks for everything you guys do for me!  I hope you guys have a wonderful week and its fun.  I miss you guys tons, and it’s crazy to me that a year ago I was finishing school and getting ready to leave.  Time flies, but it’s been good.  I hope you have a wonderful week and the baby arrives safely!  I love you guys, and you’re always in my prayers!
Love,
-Elder Smith
